Hi there! I’m Alex, also known as DJ Xander. I’m an open-format DJ, music producer, and current student at Temple University. Whether you’re here to listen to my music, explore my DJ performances, or get in touch for production and engineering services, I’m here to help bring your musical vision to life.
Introduction:
Early LIfe:
Music has always been a part of my life. From a young age, I explored my musical talents through playing trumpet, piano, and singing. I was also actively involved in school musicals and A cappella, which fueled my love for performance and creativity.
Discovery of music production:
In 2020, when the pandemic hit, I discovered music technology and production. Originally making trap beats but now transitioning into house music, I explored how to make my own music and start developing my sound.
College Experience:
Temple University:
Currently, I am a third-year business honors student at Temple University, pursuing a dual degree in Marketing at the Fox School of Business and Audio and Live Entertainment (music business) at the Klein College of Media and Communication. In addition to my studies, I serve as the Music Coordinator for KidzNextDorm, and President of the Temple Music Business Club.
Industry Experience:
This past fall, I worked with Warner Music Group as a Marketing and Events Rep, where I helped expand the reach of developing artists on the roster to the Philadelphia market through promotional events and short-form content. I am also a member of Grammy U, and this past summer I worked with Mezz Entertainment, an Artist Management & Consulting Firm, where I pitched brand deals for clients.
DJing and performance:
Style:
I started DJing in 2023, blending Hip-Hop, Pop, and EDM tracks. Whether it’s intimate parties, coorperate events, shows, or at the club, I aim to create an unforgettable experience for attendees.
Event Highlights:
I’ve had the privilege of spinning tracks at diverse events across Philadelphia and Internationally in Rome, including clubs, corporate events, concerts, and even for the Recording Academy in Los Angeles. I also have achieved 5M+ views on short-form platforms and 400k+ streams on SoundCloud mixes to promote my brand.
Music Production and Engineering:
Approach to Production:
My approach to music production blends influences from various genres, including Hip-Hop, Pop, and Dance/Electronic. Both Rap and Dance beats are available in my store. I aim to create instrumentation that evokes emotions and resonates with listeners.
Engineering Experience:
Beyond production, I also engineer. I handle mixing and mastering for my own tracks and collaborate with other artists, offering services that include vocal production.

Career Aspirations:
As I continue to grow as a DJ and music producer, my primary goal is to create unforgettable musical experiences that resonate deeply with audiences. I aim to expand my reach, performing at larger venues and events, and collaborating with other artists to push the boundaries of my creativity.

I am passionate about using my music to bring people together and inspire positive change. Whether it’s through live performances, collaborations, or working with other artists and labels, I want to make a meaningful impact on the music community.
Future Projects:
Looking ahead, I plan to release more original tracks and remixes, as well as explore new genres and styles. I am excited about the possibilities and committed to continuously evolving and improving my craft.
